Environment lighting and composition study using marketplace assets from Fab. Lighting, sky, atmosphere, camera Composition, and post-processing by me.
In this scene, I focused on creating a dark cave environment with intentional composition and lighting to guide the viewer’s attention toward key narrative elements.
I arranged environmental assets such as skeletons and statues to suggest story and history within the space, carefully placing them within the environment to create visual focal points. Directional lighting was used strategically to illuminate specific areas of the cave while leaving the surrounding space in darkness, helping to create contrast, depth, and atmosphere.
Composition and spatial layout were important for this scene. I used negative space, leading lines, and environmental framing to guide the viewer’s eye through the environment and toward the highlighted elements.
To present the scene, I set up CineCamera Actors to capture cinematic angles and controlled framing, depth of field, and perspective. I then used Sequencer to create a short cinematic sequence that showcases the environment, emphasizing the lighting, composition, and environmental storytelling.
This project demonstrates my work in environment composition, lighting for mood and focus, spatial storytelling, and cinematic presentation in Unreal Engine.
