Game Of Thrones: Legends
Project type
Game Capture
Date
25 July 2024
Location
London
Worked as a Capture Artist on *Game of Thrones: Legends*, a match-3 mobile game, collaborating closely with game developers and marketing artists to capture high-quality gameplay footage for a range of marketing and promotional campaigns.
The project involved working extensively during the game's launch period, often navigating broken development builds, incomplete assets, and rapidly changing content to identify and capture the strongest possible footage. I worked closely with development teams to troubleshoot capture issues and adapt to the evolving state of the game.
Key responsibilities included:
* Capturing gameplay footage in collaboration with marketing artists and game developers for promotional and user acquisition campaigns.
* Producing multiple capture projects for user acquisition, showcasing gameplay, features, and key game moments.
* Working directly with ICHI Worldwide on a major video showcase and television advertising campaign featuring Kit Harington.
* Preparing and capturing gameplay footage to support external marketing agency requirements and live-action campaign integration.
* Working around incomplete assets and unstable builds during the launch period, adapting capture workflows to deliver usable footage within changing development environments.
* Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure captured footage accurately represented the game while meeting marketing and creative requirements.
This project required a highly adaptable approach to game capture, particularly during launch, where I balanced technical problem-solving with creative and marketing priorities to deliver footage across multiple high-profile campaigns.
All footage and intellectual property belong to Zynga/Natural Motion. This material is publicly available and is included here solely to demonstrate my professional contribution to the project.
